Tourism and hospitality refers to the business of helping people enjoy their vacations or leisure time. Students studying tourism and hospitality typically cover accounting, general business management, convention marketing and related topics of interest to those traveling for business or pleasure.

The PhD is a doctoral degree, specifically called a "doctor of philosophy" degree. This is misleading because PhD holders are not necessarily philosophers (unless they earned their degree in philosophy!).
