The term "multimedia design" denotes creating multimedia based on photography, typography, illustration, animation, video and sound. It also denotes designing interactive multimedia, i.e. products that are morphologically determined by the way they are used and by several users' participation.

Students of doctoral academic studies in Multimedia Design are trained for interdisciplinary dealing with multimedia design. They develop skills in critical thinking about the phenomena of contemporary design and art. This study program stimulates a potentially simultaneous experience of diverse and cumulative contents. What is important is appropriate IT expertise as a condition for improvement and creative thinking in software-determined production. This program provides exceptional competencies in the field of multimedia design and understanding. Students create multimedia that is shaped by the way it is used. They are able to project behavioral situations and perceptual performances in virtual space.
